About this work

The subtle urban silhouette evokes New York as a place of ambition, dynamism, and endless possibilities. The multiple portraits suggest the different facets of oneself that emerge when living in or experiencing the city, while the ships allude to journeys, migrations, and new beginnings, echoing New York's history as a gateway for millions. Finally, the figure seen from behind conveys a gaze toward the future, reinforcing the idea of New York as a place of transformation and self-discovery.
